You are able to create various band formations using different bromide combinations that you can use while playing Lives through the Band Formation (パンド編成) screen.

There are several buttons that are displayed on this screen:
- Favorite: The button with the star in it. Allows you to select your Main Band that gets displayed on your Player Profile. This is also the band that will be selected by default when playing new songs and battling Dark Monsters.
- Copy: The button to the right of the Favorite button. Allows you to copy a band formation into a different slot.
- Reset (リセット): Resets the band formation to the empty default.
- Info (情報): Brings up a table with the formation's details, including each bromides stats as well as the total stats. For translations of this window, see here.
- Recommend (おすすめ編成): Automatically generates formations based on type and stats you choose to prioritize. For translations of this window, see here.
You are able to create up to 20 different band formations by setting bromides in the the Member and Support rows.
Bromides in the Member row will use their Active and Passive skills during Lives, while those in the Support row will only use their Support skill. Only bromides in the Member row will earn bromide EXP, band EXP, and partner friendship points.
When adding and/or swapping bromides into the formation, a box is displayed on the left that displays the changes for the Life (ライブ), Rhythm (リズム), Melody (メロディ), and Harmony (ハーモニー) stats. Numbers in blue designate that the stat is lower than the current bromide, while those in pink are higher.

On the bromide screen that's displayed while selecting band members, there is a Sort (ソート) button which allows you to make various selections to support your bromides by.
